Before pursuing composition, he gained extensive experience as a piano player, performed as a soloist, as well as in small groups and jazz big bands. This experience allowed Balzhen to develop a strong foundation in piano playing, which he has since leveraged in his compositions and arrangements.

Blazhen’s career was marked by his deep love for film scoring and composing for media. He was privileged to receive mentorship from highly esteemed composers like Javier Navarette, Crishtopher Young, Dirk Ehlert and William Hoshal who helped him hone his craft.

In addition to composing for personal projects, Blazhen also lenthis talents to theater plays, short movies, and TV shows that aired on major networks such as Lifetime TV.
